Technical Director - Season 5

Shakespeare in the Wild is seeking a part-time Technical Director for Season 5.

The primary role of this position is to load-in and load-out both the outdoor stage and the indoor stage. Depending on the needs of the show, there may be some carpentry, and applicants must feel comfortable on ladders. An ideal applicant is a self-motivated problem solver who does not require micromanagement.

This position's responsibilities include:

Transport set from storage (1 mile away from the outdoor space)
Outdoor Space - Coordinate load-in (the company spends a day assembling the stage and curtains)
Outdoor Space - Load out (again, the company is there to help).
Rain Space - Load-in - We will be building new stage platforms this year to make the indoor stage. After the stage is assembled, it is hanging curtains and a few other odds and ends depending on the stage.
Rain Space - Load-out

DATES:

We start rehearsals in July and open August 14th.

We can start loading in the outdoor space Aug. 1st.

We can start loading in the indoor space anytime in July.

Load Out - First week of Sept

PAY:

Compensation: $2,000 Stipend per summer contract
