WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Enjoy a magical evening under the stars with us. Shakespeare in the Wild takes place in a meadow, so grab a lawn chair and pack a picnic! Here are some other things we’d suggest bringing along, too:

  • bug spray

  • sunscreen

  • blanket and/or layered clothing

  • water

  • lawn chair or picnic blanket

  • shoes comfortable for walking on dirt and grass

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?

Make an event of your trip to Shakespeare in Wild and arrive 30 minutes early! There is a 5-10 minute walk from the parking lot to the performance space, and you’ll also want to use the restroom, stake your claim on a place to sit, and enjoy a picnic and time with friends. The show will start at 7:30.

WHAT IF WEATHER RAINS ON OUR PARADE?

Should inclement weather arise, we will post a cancellation notification on Facebook and Instagram, so please follow us and check there for any announcements. If you don’t see a notice, the show is on!

WHERE DO I SHOW UP EXACTLY? WHAT ABOUT PARKING?

Shakespeare in the Wild performs in DeKoevend Park, located just behind the Goodson Recreation Center (6315 S University Blvd, Centennial, 80121). Enter by way of the winding Goodson Rec Center Drive. Go past the assisted living center and park in the lot adjacent to the recreation center. There will be greeters in the lot to guide you to the path to our outdoor theatre.

WHAT ACCESSIBILITY AND FACILITIES INFO CAN YOU PROVIDE?

Getting to our space: The performance area is down a paved sidewalk and then a dirt path. There are no stairs. A golf cart will be available to assist those in need in getting to the space.

Restrooms: Portable toilets will be stationed near the parking lot. We encourage you to use them before walking down to the theatre space so you don’t miss any of the action, but they will be available for you at any time.

Sound: This year, Shakespeare in the Wild will be amplified!

Sensory boxes: Fidgets, noise cancelling headphones, and sunglasses are available.  To request sensory items, please email us at shakesinthewild@gmail.com.
